Series of science competitions and educational outreach programs to encourage young Canadians to pursue post-secondary studies and careers in biotechnology.

'Trees for Kids' assists Canadian school communities to create shade and educational landscapes on their schoolgrounds. School boards can apply for the model district program.

4. Kids From KA-NA-TA
National telecommunications project linking urban and rural First Nations and non-Native students and teachers via the Internet.

5. Mediacs
Offers workshops and information seeking to help children become more media savvy.

6. Writers in Electronic Residence (WIER)
Connects students across Canada with writers, teachers, and one another in an exchange of original writing and commentary.
